We separate the 15% Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) crystals from the serum to ensure freshness. Vitamin C is notoriously unstable and oxidises quickly in water; by mixing it at the moment of opening, you ensure you are applying the most potent, active, and fresh Vitamin C possible for the duration of the bottle.
How do I know if my Vitamin C serum has oxidised or "gone bad"?
The serum should be a champagne to light orange colour. If the liquid turns a dark brown or amber colour, it indicates that the L-Ascorbic Acid has oxidised and lost its potency. Our unique 3-bottle system (for the 3-pack) allows you to use fresh serum every month, minimising the risk of using oxidised product.
Is it normal to feel a tingling sensation when applying this serum?
